1. Baller: (adj) cool… “My ’92 accord is so baller!”
Used primarily by young African American and Caucasian males, though young females use it as well.
2. Beezy:(n) used in place of bitch… “Some beezy almost hit me with her bike today.”
I have only ever heard this word used by young Caucasian females.
3. Biddy: (n) Someone’s bitch…. “Yeah Lauren is totally my biddy until she’s done pledging”
This word was used by a Mexican female, I am not sure who else uses it, as I hae only heard it once.
4. Blogan:(adj?) I have no idea what this means. The girls I heard say this walked past me at the MU. … “Oh and you better not go all blogan on me now that we’re back!”
Used by a Caucasian girl, I have never heard anyone else use it.
5. Bombies: (adj)good, tasty, delicious...“Yo those tacos she made were bombies!”
Used by Fraternity brothers of all ethnicities.
6. Bounce:(v) also means to leave… “Yo, are you ready to bounce?”
Used primarily by males of all ethnicities.
7. Bromance:(n) The relationship between two straight guys who are really close…. “Jake is at Dave’s right now...they have such a bromance going on!”
Used by females of all backgrounds.
8. Bro date:(n) When two straight guys hang out with just each other…. “Mike went on a bro date last night with one of his pledge brothers.”
Used by female students of all backgrounds.
9. B.T. Dubs: short for BTW, which is short for by the way… “B.T. Dubs, we are getting the shirts today, not tomorrow.”
Used primarily by Caucasian students.
10. Chill: (adj) laid back… “My professor is super chill.”
Very versatile word, used by all types of students.
11. Cod: (n) short for Call of Duty… “ I owned Matt at COD today!”
Used by males who need to get out more and play less video games.
12. Creepfest: (n) a large grouping of creepy people… “There were so many old guys at the bar Saturday night, it was a total creepfest.”
Used primarily by Caucasian females.
13. Crunk: (adj) really drunk… “Let’s get crunk tonight!” ( I think they were joking when they used this word but I figured it’s slang nonetheless.)
Used by males of all ethnicities.
14. Dank:(adj) really good… “ The science center had dank funnel cake!”
Used primarily by male students.
15. Dig: (n) understand… “Do you dig?”- Professor Hoffman
Used very rarely by students.
16. Dip:(v) leave… “Are you guys ready to dip out ?”
Used almost exclusively by males.
17. Dude: (n) usually a guy but can be used to refer to anyone… “Dude, check out this slampiece.”
Very common, used by all students.
18. Fab:(adj) Fabulous or awesome… “ Brooke your new shirt is fab!”
Used primarily by Caucasian female students.
19. Frat-tastic:(adj) Something that is fantastic and has to do with a fraternity… “ The philanthropy over the weekend was fart-tastic”
Mainly used jokingly by Caucasian males.
20. Fratty: (adj) relating to a fraternity…. “He was wearing his hat sideways and he just looked so fratty.”
Mainly used jokingly by Caucasian males, but also used by females.
21. Gone:(adj) Drunk … “I was way past gone by the time you showed up.” male
22. Holla: to call… “Ok peace. I’ll holla at you later.” male
23. Homance: (n) I wasn’t able to ask but I am assuming it is like a bromance, just it occurs between two straight girls… “I haven’t seen you in forever! I miss our homance.” female
24. Homeslice:(n) synonym for friend…. “Hey homeslice! What’s up?” female
25. Jeal: (adj) short for jealous… “Are you jeal that we went to jack in the box without you?” female
26. Jew fro: (n) voluminous curly hair on a Caucasian person…. “He had the biggest Jew fro I have ever seen.” female
27. Jockin:(v) to hit on someone you are attracted to… “I heard he was jocking you over spring break.” male
28. Niiii:(adj) Short for nice, a fellow student actually texted this to me and I had to include it because it’s so ridiculous … “I got an A on that test!” other person “ Oh niiiii man!” male
29. Owned: (v) to beat, or do better than… “I owned Matt at COD today!” male
30. PB:(n)short for pledge bitch ( someone who is pledging a greek organization and has to do a lot of chores)… “Luke was busy all weekend doing PB stuff.” female
31. Peace:(n) A way of saying goodbye… “Ok Peace. I’ll holla at you later.” male
32. Rager:(adj) crazy party… “You should have gone to DJ’s place, it was a rager all night.” male
33. Scrilla:(n) I didn’t hear the whole sentence but the guy was talking about how he has no money and then he said something about needing more scrilla to get his car fixed.
34. Sick:(adj) interesting, nice, pleasing… I heard something about someone’s car being “sick.” male
35. Slampiece: (n) attractive women ( I had to ask)… “Dude, check out this slampiece.” male
36. Smash:(v) to have relations with… “Casey gave up smashing for Lent.” female
37. Swag:(n) clothing items… “They were giving out tons of free swag at Bamboozle on Saturday.” female
38. Tap:(v) to have relations with... “ Have you taped that yet?” male
39. Tipsy:(adj) under the influence of alcohol, but not drunk… “I was tipsy after only two shots of Jack.” female
40. Wrecked:(adj) unattractive… “ Joey hooked up with this girl who was wrecked!” male
