Sierra Madrid


  1. To be down (v) To count someone in. We’re going out tonight, you down?
  2. No homo- (adj.) Usually said to dismiss any thoughts that the previous statement was not intended to be gay. Brian was such a good friend. No homo though.
  3. Hey-Oh!- A greeting usually used to address more than one person. Also used in excitement, such as in a high-five moment. Hey-Oh! Where have you guys been?
  4. Pwn (v) Similar to own, meaning that one has dominated another person usually in a good comeback. His comment just got pwned by Mike.
  5. To play- (v) to hang out or go out together, mostly used by girls wanting to party with another person. I haven’t seen you in forever! Let’s play this weekend?
  6. To be debted- (v) Mostly heard from girls in Long Island meaning to be broken up with by whomever you were previously dating, normally in a cold and ignorant way. Did you hear what happened with Bobby? He debted me this week then he wouldn’t answer any of my calls or texts.
  7. Bee’s Knees- (n, adv.) Sweet and good. First used to describe how bee’s knees are the sweetest part of their body due to them getting nectar stuck to their legs while going from flower to flower. That new Xbox game is the bee’s knees, dude!
  8. Clutch- (v.) To be handy. Something that’s there exactly when and how you need it. The way you can upload movies on your computer now is so clutch.
  9. To be boomin’- (v.) To be hanging out doing great. I’m just chillin’, I’m boomin’.
  10. Drive-By liking-  (v.) To ‘like’ everyone’s activity on Facebook for no reason. After I do a drive-by liking on all your friends Facebook’s they delete me!
  11. For sure- Affirmative. Can I get a straw please? –For sure, here you go,
  12. Fetch- Cool, awesome or good. That new dress you got is so fetch.
  13. Herro- another way to say hello.
  14. Whiskey jacket- (n)  An imaginary jacket that one seems to have after they drink whiskey because they are no longer sensitive to the cold. It’s all-good I have my whiskey jacket on after that last shot.
  15. Stage Five Clinger- Someone who clearly is too clingy, too soon by wanting to talk, text or hang out at all times possible. Who that girl? I had to stop seeing her after she wouldn’t stop texting me and calling to hang out.
  16. Fist pump- Phrase made popular by New Yorker’s on Jersey Shore that is used to describe how you normally dance to techno music with a lot of base at parties. Synonymous with partying hard. We’ll be fist pumping for sure when we go out tonight!
  17. House- A genre of techno music usually more popular than underground. Referred to the phrase ‘I love house.’ House music has more of a bass involved and usually remixes almost any type of well-known song. I love house!
  18. Posted up- Hanging out, just chillin. Posted up with Rachel all night studying.
  19. Shooter- A shot of alcohol and a mixer. She only like’s shooters otherwise it’s too strong.
  20.  Mixer- (n.) Soda, juice, or any other liquid mixed with alcohol in order to make it a mixed drink or shot. Don’t forget to buy the chasers!
